Mitsumasa Anno was born in Tsuwano, Shimane in 1926. After the war, he worked as an art teacher while continuing to create, becoming an unparalleled artist who left behind a large number of picture books and writings. In 1974, he won the Kate Greenaway Medal. This exhibition will feature approximately 130 original illustrations from his representative picture books, including original illustrations from the “Travel Picture Book” series, particularly the “Britain Edition,” which features beautiful landscapes in UK.
