From the British Museum’s collection of over 40,000 Japanese works, outstanding pieces will be exhibited, focusing on Edo period paintings such as folding screens, hanging scrolls, and illustrated picture scrolls, as well as woodblock prints by eight representative ukiyo-e artists including Utamaro, Sharaku, Hokusai, and Hiroshige.
