UK-based pianist Panos Karan visited Japan in August 2011 and gave recitals in areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake. Over the past 10 years, he has made several visits to Tohoku and supported the Fukushima Youth Sinfonietta. This summer he will give a recital in Tokyo.
