The 19th century English Romantic landscape painter John Constable principally painted landscapes near his home, while J.M.W. Turner, who is often compared with Constable, made produced many landscape paintings based on his frequent travels. Forty works from the Tate collection and a similar number of other related works will be exhibited in an important retrospective exhibition of Constable’s works at Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum.
