First aired in 2007, Shaun the Sheep is a stop-motion animation series which has been broadcast in an incredible 180 countries. In summer 2022 a special exhibition took place at Kyoto’s Museum EKI to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the much-loved show. This spring at the exhibition in Tokyo, a miniature photographer and artist, Tatsuya Tanaka’s works will be displayed, and Tokyo limited merchandise will be available.
Visitors will also get an insight into the production of the series, and the amount of work that goes into it – the average length of footage an animator could shoot for an episode in a week was only 20 seconds!
