Welcome Back “Beautiful Meiji”
In the Meiji Era, many skilled British painters visited Japan. This exhibition focuses on Anglo-Japanese exchanges in art in that era and includes fascinating works by Charles Wirgman, Alfred Parsons and Alfred East. As Fuchu City is hosting the England team in the Rugby World Cup, this exhibition is being held as part of the UK-Japan cultural exchange programmes.
