In the 18th and 19th centuries, Britain experienced an unprecedented flourishing of art and science. The development of botany and ceramics in particular was remarkable, and became a symbol of the “Age of Enlightenment.” This exhibition will feature masterpieces of botanical art derived from botany, as well as masterpieces from Wedgwood, one of the world’s most popular ceramic manufacturers, which was given the title of “Queen’s Ware” by Queen Charlotte at the time.
