Yuki Ito (a JBS Member) has been enjoying an international career since winning 1st prize at both the International Brahms Competition in Austria in 2010 and the Windsor Festival International String Competition in 2011. In 2019, he was honoured with the Hideo Saito Memorial Award, one of Japan’s highest awards for cellists and conductors. He has appeared as a soloist with such orchestras as the Philharmonia Orchestra, Yomiuri Nippon Symphony, and Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony, and with conductors and artists like Seiji Ozawa, Vladimir Ashkenazy, and Kenichiro Kobayashi.
