Chevening is an international scholarship programme run by the UK government, which aims to develop future leaders. Funded by the UK Department for Foreign Affairs and International Development and partner organisations, it covers almost all of the costs of studying a master’s degree course in the UK for one year. Applications are open from 4th August to 6th October 2026. Applicants must be able to start their studies in the UK in September or October 2027 and return to Japan after completing their master’s degree in the summer of 2028.
