The Arts and Crafts movement emerged from the attempt to reform design and decoration in the 19th century in the UK. William Morris, who was the main influence on the Arts and Crafts movement began experimenting with various crafts and designing furniture and interiors. The movement spread to the rest of Europe and America. Morris believed that design excellence and high-quality production can enrich our lives. The exhibition will encourage in us a deeper understanding of the movement’s philosophy, which remains very much alive today.
