St Kilda is an isolated archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Scotland, and it is the westernmost point in the UK. The archipelago is the only UNESCO World Complex Heritage Site (comprising both natural and cultural heritage) in the UK. The last 36 islanders abandoned St Kilda for mainland Scotland in 1930, mainly to seek alternatives to the privations they routinely suffered. This is widely known in Britain, but not in Japan. In this exhibition, photographer Kato Shu will exhibit about 30 precious photographic works featuring present-day St Kilda, 90 years after the evacuation. https://imagingplaza.fujifilm.com/tokyo/gallery/56/index.html
