Professor Yoshiki Tajiri of the University of Tokyo will give a lecture in Japanese on Kazuo Ishiguro and his work related to Japan. He will discuss Kazuo Ishiguro’s early works such as A Family Supper and A Pale View of Hills and also report on the event held at the former Ishiguro residence in Nagasaki on 8th November, 2024 to celebrate the writer’s 70th birthday.
Mr Yoshiki Tajiri
Professor of University of Tokyo, majoring in 20th century British literature. He is Representative Secretary of the Kazuo Ishiguro Research Circle in Japan. His recent books include Living the Enigma of Everyday Life: The Feeling of Life and Death in Woolf, Ozu and Mishima (2024).
