Event : 5 Sep: Lecture on English Gardening

Mr. Masaya Tatebayashi, a JBS Member and a Kew-trained horticulturist, will give a lecture on English gardening and the Royal Botanic Gardens.
A professional horticulturist, Mr. Tatebayashi is the first Japanese gentleman to have gained a Kew Diploma. He will give a lecture (in Japanese) illustrated with an abundance of photos, which will give you a better understanding of English gardening, along with many tips for your own gardens. If you wish to attend, please register your full name and phone number with the Secretariat by e-mail or by telephone no later than 30th August.

Masaya Tatebayashi, Dip Hort Kew (Hons), Consulting Arborist
After working in banking for 10 years, Mr Tatebayashi went to England to study horticulture, where he learnt the basics at a horticultural college in York. He then gained practical experience at the Cambridge University Botanic Garden and the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. He returned to Tokyo in 2006 and now works as a freelance horticultural consultant based in Tokyo.
