Bus Tour to Nikko:
Former British Embassy Villa, Kanaya Cottage Inn Museum and Nikko Toshogu Shrine

The Society has arranged a day trip to Nikko.
Participants will visit the former British Embassy villa by Lake Chuzenji and the Kanaya Cottage Inn Museum, where Isabella Bird stayed in 1878; she later wrote about her stay in Unbeaten Tracks in Japan.
We will also have a guided tour of Nikko Toshogu Shrine, a World Heritage Site, where we will see the renovated Yomeimon Gate (a National Treasure) and participate in a prayer session in the special Shogun’s Room.

If you would like to join this tour, please register your name and telephone number with the JBS Secretariat no later than 31st July. (We need a minimum of 25 participants. Coach travel will be arranged through Hankyu Kotsusha.)

Price: Members JPY13,500, Guests JPY14,500
